Volunteering
Why Volunteer?
Volunteerism is a centerpiece of the Village model, drawing upon the capacity of people in our communities to support each other and benefits both the volunteer and the member.
Benefits of Volunteering include:
Staying active – physically, mentally and socially.
Connecting with others, and feeling a part of the community.
Putting talents, skills and capacities to good use.
Paying it forward – knowing that someday each of us will also need support.
As a volunteer you can choose what role you would like to take and how much time you want to put in. With an all-volunteer Village, there are many areas to lend your various skills. Let us know your interests and what skills you bring to a volunteer position. It’s the generosity of volunteers that make all of the benefits of our Village possible. We encourage both members and non-members to volunteer. Volunteering is a way to get to know Village members and other volunteers.
